Tomorrow is the day I have my very first photography exhibit. It was this past fall that I started this whole process-a process that has ranged from anxiety and doubt to great joy. My original vision was to simply make space for my friends, family, and community to come together for one night to showcase my work. My work that is filled with so many different stories. Through my mother's sickness to my life in Chicago, I have been shaped by each one deeply. Some of these stories are very dark but it is the retelling of the story that reminds me of the beauty in life, even in the darkness.

Through the changes, the heartaches, pains and great joys, this is a small glimpse of who I am and what I have been given ... eyes to see.
